Field Demo Photo
Barnesville is in the heart of the Red River Valley, where potatoes once played a vital role to the local economy.

In addition to the other field events, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday spectators will be able to watch a variety of old fashioned horse drawn equipment work right in the potato field.

This is an excellent way to acquaint youngsters as to how farming was done years ago with only horses to supply the power, but it's fun for old timers to trade stories about those long, hard days in the fields.
