There
will be no bored child while attending the Potato
Days Festival in Barnesville Minn.! Activities abound for
all ages but the younger generation will have plenty to keep
them busy.
Kicking off the festival is the Kiddie
Parade on Friday morning. After
that the two days are packed full of activity. Kids’ Games in the park occupies most of the afternoon and when that wraps
up there is entertainment on the main stage on Front Street and
the Mashed Potato Wrestling contest draws wrestlers of all ages. The
Pony and Barrel rides are always popular with the younger generation.
Barnesville’s Youth Alive Center offers
a great place to hang out with free activities from pool to pinball.
Teens from all over flock to the Teen
Dance held Friday night.
Saturday offers the fun of searching for the Golden
Potato, 3
on 3 Basketball Tournament, Potato
Scramble, Dunking Tank, 10K/5K
Run, Miss Tator Tot Pageant, and
the Potato Car Races, and the Mashed
Potato Eating and the Mashed
Potato Sculpture contests.
Whether athletic or artistic, both days are filled with opportunities
to win prizes or just have some great fun!
