Gaining
in popularity every year, the Potato Sack Fashion Show will
once again take center stage Saturday at 11:00 am. The tradition
of the wearing of potato sacks dates back to the 30's when the
common Potato Days attire was vests made out of potato
sacks. In fact, at that time, business owners caught without their
vests would be fined!
Today, potato sack fashions have been expanded
to include everything from tuxedos to bathing suits, wedding gowns
to bib overalls.
