"Calling all Potato Lovers to the Mashed Potato Eating Contest!" Each contestant is given two minutes to stuff away as many mashed potatoes as they can. There is no entry fee and sign-up can be done right before the contest. It fills up fast so contestants need to get there early.

A plaque is given to the winner and a participation ribbon to all other contestants.

Being part of the Potato Days entertainment adds to everyone's fun of celebrating the lowly potato at the Potato Days Festival. Whether a contestant ever eats mashed potatoes again we don't know!!
